Overview of Workspace Datasources

On the Gather platform, you can customise the information in particular dropdowns at both a Project and Workspace wide level.

At Gather, we call these 'Datasources'.

This guide explains how to customise Datasources within Gather at a Workspace level.

Workspace Datasources

Dropdowns that are available to customise will change based on the configuration of your Workspace, but generally- the following dropdowns have customisable Datasources:

Equipment Resources (Equipment Supplier, Equipment Type)

Variance Category (Worklog Variance Category)

People Settings (Role Type, Supplier, Attribute)

Accessing Workspace Datasources

  1. On the Project homepage, navigate to the top left hand corner of your screen, and click the gear icon.

  2. From here, click on 'Workspace Settings'. This will open your Workspace Settings page.

  3. Next, click on each tab to view and edit Datasource options.

Adding New Options

  1. Within a specific Datasource section (e.g. People Settings), click the '+ ADD NEW LINE' button.

  2. Enter your new option or copy and paste multiple values.

  3. Click 'Save' when you've finished adding new options.
