This guide runs through how to sign into your Gather account using Microsoft.
‘SSO’ stands for ‘single sign on’.
Signing in via SSO will mean that you are able to sign into Gather using your Microsoft account.
Using SSO helps to reduce the amount of sign in details you have for different applications, including Gather.
This not only improves every day efficiency, but your overall user experience.
Please note the following:
To enable this feature for your Workspace, you will need to put through a request to your Account Manager, or via the help centre to the Support Team, who will ensure this is set up for you.
The Microsoft account you are using to sign in via SSO will need to be a business account.
The Microsoft account you are using to sign in via SSO will need to use the same email address as your Gather Account.
The Microsoft sign in prompt will ask you if you want to allow Gather to access your name, and email address. To sign in, you should click ‘allow’.
You may also be taken through various Microsoft sign in tasks within the sign in process. For help with any queries regarding Microsoft, please consult your IT provider.
If you have 2 factor authentication enabled within Gather and Microsoft, you will need to perform both verifications.
Access the Web App: Visit the Gather website and click the "Sign In" button in the top right corner.
Click on ‘Sign in with Microsoft’ : On the sign-in screen, click on the ‘Sign in with Microsoft’ button.
Enter your login details: After choosing to ‘Sign in with Microsoft’, enter your login details.
Verify New Device (if applicable):
If this is your first sign-in from this device, you'll receive an access code via email.
Enter the access code on the next screen.
Select Workspace (if applicable):
If you're assigned to multiple Workspaces, choose the one you want to access.
Sign In: Click "Sign In" to complete the process.
Download the App: Download the "Gather Insights" App from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Open the App: Launch the Gather Insights App on your mobile device.
Click on ‘Sign in with Microsoft’ : On the sign-in screen, click on the ‘Sign in with Microsoft’ button.
Enter your login details: After choosing to ‘Sign in with Microsoft’, enter your login details.
Verify New Device (if applicable):
If this is your first sign-in from this device, you'll receive an access code via email.
Enter the access code on the next screen.
Select Workspace (if applicable):
If you're assigned to multiple Workspaces, choose the one you want to access.
Sign In: Click "Sign In" to complete the process.
