How we capture weather data with an API

Weather information is vital in infrastructure construction as it can have a huge impact on progress.

The Mobile App helps you capture the vital components of the weather including temperature and conditions, to allow you to fully explain the events on-site.

To make this information consistent and easy to capture, we use an external API (Application Programming Interface) to automatically add vital weather and forecast information to your Shift Record on your mobile phone. 

All the weather information, including the dropdown options, is sourced from Weatherstack.

Important Note: To ensure the Autofill button appears on the Mobile App, make sure you have your location on and that you have given the App permission to view your location. You can check this in the 'Settings' on your device.
