Edit a User Profile

This article explores User profiles within Gather, highlighting the functionalities of User Contact Cards and assigned projects.

User Contact Card

The User Contact Card displays valuable information about yourself and is accessible to all Users within your organization.

Updating User Information:

  1. Click "EDIT USER" to modify your details, permissions, or password.

  2. Make edits as needed.

  3. Click "SAVE" to confirm changes.

User Contact Card Fields:

  • Full Name (Public): Visible to anyone within your organization with platform access. It appears in records and project reports.

  • Job Title (Public): Informs other Users about your role.

  • Profile Picture (Optional): Helps others recognize you and serves as a notification indicator. It also appears in the top right corner when you're signed in.

  • Email Address (Private): Used for login and notification purposes only. Not used for marketing or shared with third parties.

  • Contact Number (Optional): Add your preferred contact number for communication within your organization or with Gather support.

  • Office Address (Optional): Makes it easier for colleagues in large organizations to locate each other (shared with anyone within your organization).

Assigned Projects

This section lists the projects a User is assigned to. Users with appropriate permissions can manage project assignments.

Assigning Projects (if applicable):

  1. Select a project from the dropdown menu.

  2. Click the project name to assign a User.

Unassigning Projects (if applicable):

  1. Click the red "X" next to the assigned project.

Note: This article does not require a specific label, but you can use "User Management" or "User Profiles" depending on your preference.

Please note: A User profile is different to a 'People Profile'. People Profiles do not give somebody access to log into Gather and submit a Record.
