Capturing access to infrastructure data

The Access Information of a shift covers any necessary details about the access of your shift. This includes Possessions, Non-Possessions and Line Blocks.

The Access Information Steps Explained

Access Information is split into three sections depending on the kind of access you need for this shift. The next three tables detail what appears in each of these sections.

Possession 

  • Possession Reference Number - The reference number for the specific Possession during the shift

  • Worksite Reference - The Worksite Reference number for the shift

  • Worksite Location Limit - The two limits of your Worksite

  • Worksite Mileage -The mileage of your Worksite

  • Track Location - Here you can choose the ELR (Engineer's Line Reference) from the dropdown menu. From this, the LOR (Line of Route) will be filled in automatically

  • Possession Time -The planned and actual times the possession was granted.

  • Worksite Taken -The planned and actual times the worksite was taken

  • Isolation Permit Received - The planned and actual times the isolation permit was received

  • On-Track Machines -The planned and actual times the machines were brought on track

  • Works Commence -The planned and actual times the works commenced on site

  • Works Complete - The planned and actual times the works completed on site

  • Off-Track Machines - The planned and actual times the machines were taken off-track

  • Isolation Permit Handback - The planned and actual times the Isolation Permit was handed back

  • Worksite Handback - The planned and actual times the worksite was handed back

  • Possession Handback - The planned and actual times the possession was handed back.

  • Variance Category - From the dropdown menu, choose the reason why there may have been a variance in planned and actual times. If there was no difference in timings use the choice "No Variance"

Line Block

For each Line Block on the Shift please click "+ ADD NEW LINE BLOCK" and enter the relevant information to ensure everything has been logged.

  • Line Block Reference Number - State the Line Block Reference Number here

  • Status - A dropdown box to state whether the Line Block has been accepted or rejected

  • Comments - If the Line Block is rejected, use this comment box to explain what happened and why

  • Authority Number - If the Line Block is accepted, use this box to state the Authority Number

  • Works Commence - The planned and actual times the works commenced on site

  • Works Complete - The planned and actual times the works completed on site

  • Variance Category - From the dropdown menu, choose the reason why there may have been a variance in planned and actual times. If there was no difference in timings use the choice "No Variance"

Non-Possession

  • Worksite Reference - The Worksite Reference number for this shift

  • Worksite Location Limit - The two limits of your Worksite

  • Worksite Mileage - The mileage of your Worksite

  • Track Location - Here you can choose the ELR (Engineer's Line Reference) from the dropdown menu. From this, the LOR (Line of Route) will be filled in automatically
